Canter through the curtained woods
With antlers proudly swaying
The dappled stag its name denied
I bring the truth but truth divides
I've seen the box that once was closed
I know where leads all ley lines
I've felt the breath of spirit's wind
And heard the spider pull its strings
I saw my son pacing his cage
I saw my friends betray me
I saw my wife curse from above
The web he built without us knowing

Deidre's Song - The Sparrow
If only men could never cry
(A drop in the sea forms nary a ripple)
Cried the hunted sparrow
(A droplet of rain leaves almost a mark)
As the raven swoops below
(A stream joins a river that carves through the mountains)
Safe within a hundred eaves
(A dam brings the valley to its knees)
(A drop in the sea forms nary a ripple)
Cried the hunted sparrow
(A droplet of rain leaves almost a mark)
As the raven swoops below
(A stream joins a river that carves through the mountains)
Safe within a hundred eaves
(A dam brings the valley to its knees)

Deidre's Song - The Serpent
The serpent hides among the leaves
Catching stars from heaven
Cradled close to a gentle mind
Come children hide where light is fading
My dearest fled from whence you came
I know how it betrays you
I gathered him into my heart
Before his curse could blind him
He held the world within his hands
And so they sought to bind him
Until he stumbled on the lie
By which he lived and was to die
Catching stars from heaven
Cradled close to a gentle mind
Come children hide where light is fading
My dearest fled from whence you came
I know how it betrays you
I gathered him into my heart
Before his curse could blind him
He held the world within his hands
And so they sought to bind him
Until he stumbled on the lie
By which he lived and was to die

Deidre's Song - The Wizard
The wizard said the day will sow
(Held tight to a staff of oak and yew)
The land of broken wreaths
(Called forth souls on the mend)
Brought fire blossomed in their hearts
(Ashes and embers in the cleft of a hill)
And fed the drying wing
(Where nested the phoenix that burned with the land)
(Held tight to a staff of oak and yew)
The land of broken wreaths
(Called forth souls on the mend)
Brought fire blossomed in their hearts
(Ashes and embers in the cleft of a hill)
And fed the drying wing
(Where nested the phoenix that burned with the land)

Deidre's Song - The Lion
The lion walks the circle wide
Drawing life from aeons
Pulls taut the lines of fate's design
Come crawling spider I am waiting
I crossed the river and the sky
And found the willow weeping
To plant a seed of my design
See spider I am also weaving
I may not spin gossamer threads
Which once you wove around my limbs
But with my life and with my blood
I'll claw my way out from your scheming
I may not spin gossamer threads
Which once you wove around my limbs
But with my life and with my blood
I'll claw my way out from your scheming

Glory
Brought upon a hill of glory
The bones of which still grow
Still holding blade that still is gory
Now only stillness knows

Valor
Lighted sky
Streaked with heart
Of valor's cry
Pierced the dark
Of lament's high
In the halls of mourning
Streaked with heart
Of valor's cry
Pierced the dark
Of lament's high
In the halls of mourning
